Join Award winning Photographer, Michael Nelson, author of “Cuba Today”,for an adventure filled journey
into the streets and villages of Cuba. Learn the photographic techniques and methods of “street shooting”
in the tradition of Henri Cartier Bresson. Explore and indulge in historic Havana with its museums and
music. Meet and exchange with artists and residents of Cuba.
• Workshops will be given by Michael Nelson,, who has taught extensively,
at the Metropolitan Museum of Art , Storm King Art Center, Museum of the Hudson Highlands,
Boston Continuing Education, and many workshops in his studios and gallery. Michael has photographed
for numerous publications and institutions from the NY Times, to the Westchester Journal News.
Mayan Publications has recently published his book “Cuba Today”, the first book published since President
Obama’s historic trip to Havana.
• Our journey will be organized and enhanced by Cuban Photographer, Alejandro Perez Alvarez, was born and raised in Havana Cuba. He has traveled extensively and has lead
many tours throughout his homeland.
• 3 nights in Havana, 2 nights in Vinales, 2 nights in the country side
Included: Airfare round trip from either New York City or Miami to Havana, entry visas, supplemental
health insurance for Cuba, 8 nights in Casa Particulares (B&Bs), all breakfasts and dinners, ground
transportation in Cuba, workshops with Michael Nelson and with additional guidance from Cuban

You are responsible for, passport, roundtrip airfare to NYC or Miami with baggage fees, before the
flight to Havana. One night hotel in NYC or Miami prior to the next mornings flight. Additional baggage
